Earth Angels – May

 

This is a very personal story of courage, commitment, dedication and lots of love.
When Dick and Judy Hoyt were told that their firstborn son Rick, who was born with cerebral palsy, was a vegetable and should be institutionalised, they cried a bit and then they talked. They knew Rick was smart and eventually convinced a team of engineers to build a custom made computer for him. This allowed him to finish school and go on to university and it was here that he and his dad teamed up to become one invincible force called Team Hoyt.

Earth Angels – April

 

Pinky McKay is an Angel who wears a halo for so many mums. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, a mummy mentor, infant massage instructor, author and an international keynote speaker. Pinky teaches gentle parenting styles that honour the mothers, as she leaves them happy and confidant with their natural instincts, while she gives respect to the needs of the baby or toddler.

Earth Angels – March

 

Kerri Rodley, an earth angel, works tirelessly to raise funds to help in the rescue of China Moon Bears, and in May 2012 she will be joining in a five-day trek along remote and unrestored sections of the Great Wall of China. After the trek she will visit the Animal’s Asia sanctuary at Chengdu, Sichuan Province, where the bears live out their lives freely in a beautiful bamboo forest.

In 1994 Frances Carrington registered with Australian Volunteers Abroad to go to Africa, however life took her in another direction altogether and she found herself in the Himalaya Mountains teaching design and tailoring to the newly arrived Tibetan Refugees and this is where her story begins.
